Gentleman Ghost, also known as Jim Craddock, is a recurring spectral villain in DC Comics. He first appeared in Flash Comics #88 (October 1947).
Craddock was a 19th-century highwayman, notorious for his arrogance and criminal behavior. He was ultimately hanged for his crimes, but due to a curse, he was unable to pass on to the afterlife. He is bound to the earthly plane until the person who was going to marry him, finds true love.
As a ghost, Craddock possesses a variety of supernatural abilities, including intangibility, invisibility, and the power to manipulate ectoplasmic energy. He often uses these powers to commit crimes and wreak havoc. Gentleman Ghost has been known to cross paths with DC superheroes, including the Flash, Hawkman, and Batman.
